In my case my BMW X3 had no problem with my previous 6230i but with the E50 the contacts didn't work. Now they do. Here you have the instructions. 1.-Put the car in pairing mode an pair the phone as usual. It woudn't harm if you start deleting previous pairings. 2.-Turn off the key and put the car BACK in pairing mode. 3.-Go to the E50 and open the Contacts. 4.-Press the Option button on the left and scroll down to "Mark/Unmark" then you move the central button to the rigth and choose "Mark All" 5.-At this stage you should be back to the contacts list but with a tick on the right 6.-Press options on the bottom left. 7.-Choose Send and select via Bluetooth. Then you should see a list of bluetooh devices. Find your BMW 8.-A Progress bar or gears appear and after afew seconds ... it's done.

You will notice the contacts are leaded by "(A),(M),(H),(W)" for All, Mobile, Home , Work
