OK but what are the symptoms of bad termostat? Do You have been on bmw diagnostics? Mostly is better to pay for diagnostic than buy and change many possible things. Sometimes when the termostat is "in the end" , it start to consume more gas than normal. (1-3 liters more). Or sometimes it can be lambda. The best way is to do that diagnostic. It can tell You if the lambda is starting to be bad and many other things... I hope i understand well: Is Your problem in high fuel consumption ?

it can be termostat, or lambda, or gas filter. But mostly it is bad termostat. The fuel consumption after change the termostat is 1-2 liters less.
